There are so many chapters in life for everyone.

Born to the world for the first time, knowing nothing about the world. Little baby learning how to crawl then walking and talking. First day at school learning and making friends, communicating with the world. Going to the prom in high school, had very first kiss . Learning being an adult as we grow up. Its all the chapters in life that everyone has to pass through.

I’ve never thought that I’ll be a wedding photographer growing up. I’ve always wonder how I can be a wedding photographer until today. I’ve dreamed to be a veterinarian. Yes, i love animals!

Back in college days, I fell in love with photography. Black and White photography to be exact. I was majoring in cinematography back then, yeah I’m the guy who watched 2-3 DVDs in a day. I was so inspired by Quentin Tarantino to be a movie director. I had to take some photo class for the major requirements. First day in class, I stepped my foot inside the Darkroom Lab for the very first time. The sense of the room, the smell of photo chemicals, the dim of lights inside that room, it got me so excited. My first camera was my brother’s manual camera. Thank you brother, you changed my life!

I enjoyed every seconds doing photography since college, I’ve forgotten my dream to be a movie director, and decided to be a photographer.

In 2005, I went back for good from California to Jakarta, Indonesia. It was another great 5 years chapter of my life living in the USA. Took several photography classes in Jakarta, met my old friends and make a lot of new friends. I shot anything that I could. From fashion – commercial – portraits – landscaping, you name it, I’ve shot it. Until one day in late 2006, my good friend asked me to shoot his engagement portrait and wedding. I was so scared because it was my first time ever shooting. On his wedding day, thats the new chapter of me begins. The feelings that I felt, the moments that I saw, it left marks in my heart. I fell in love with Wedding Photography, set my mind to be a wedding photographer, and never looked back.

In 2007, Poetih Photography was born. I’ve built this company from scratch until today with my own hands and all the power that I have. Late nights in front of computer browsing around, brainstorming, dreaming big things all alone.

Started out shooting some of my friend’s wedding. Got bookings with very small numbers in a year. So many ups and downs along my career building up Poetih Photography, but I’ve never give up my dream to be one of the best wedding photographer in the world. It is my PASSION. Creating amazing images is my goal.

One day I’ve met this inspiring couple, Wiki Lee and his wife Ilona Lee, the founder of Foto Expression. We’ve been good friends since then. Share the same passion about wedding photography. Same belief in wedding photography.

I’ve always dreaming working together with a team full of “artist”,  YES, I look myself as an artist who happen creating my art through photography. My camera is my brush – the world is my paints – and the photo itself is my art result.

NOW, its another chapter of my life, I am joining up with a team full of artist. We share the same passion through our works. I am Foto Expression!

Thank you for everything Poetih’s loyal friends, clients and everyone that supported me for the last 5 years. It is time for me to grow bigger! Its a sad and very very hard decision, yet the best that i’ve made this year! I promise you I’ll keep on trying to create the most timeless and memorable art. To capture your perfect moments.
